Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Auto-immune disease that causes debilitating fatigue.

CFS, short for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, is an auto-immune disease that causes debilitating fatigue lasting for periods over six months. Symptoms may include and combination of night sweats, headaches, disturbed sleep, inability to concentrate, depression, mood swings, low-grade fever, hypersensitivity to heat or cold and light and sound, mental confusion, memory loss, impaired memory, and inability to function after exerting oneself. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is different to regular tiredness, being persistent enough to reduce average daily activity and production by 50 percent or even more. It progressively worsens over time, lasting one to two years, and is not alleviated by rest.
An estimated 90 million people worldwide suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome stated by the National Institute of Health, three million being American. Two thirds of the cases are women, and according to the Medical Advisor (1996), 80 percent that suffer from the disease are Caucasian women under 45 years of age.
Glyconutritionals: Implications in CFS
When sufficient amount of glyconutrients are put back into the body, the immune system becomes restores, and the symptoms of CFS begin to disappear. Many experts also recommend eating at least 50 percent raw foods and fresh juices, and moderate regular exercising 5 days a week for 20 to 30 minutes a day.
Glyconutrients are like the alphabet language of our cells. Instead of using 26 letters, our bodies use 8 hexagonal glyconutrients to communicate to each other. Every cell in our body requires an adequate amount of these glyconutrients to communicate correctly. When they are missing, they cannot communicate correctly, and this causes the cells to malfunction and become unhealthy leading to diseases and disorders. Glyconutrients are known worldwide to improve basic body physiology, improve the immune system functions, and improve organ functions in our body. For all people, not just those with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, glyconutrients are vital to our health for cellular communication.
